As far as traditional dimsum and pastries go, this Baked Egg Tart is here as the signature representative of Asian desserts.

Leaning slightly more towards the Portuguese egg tart style of having sun spot-esque speckles of golden brown sugar bubbles atop, this Baked Egg Tart is bound to bring you nostalgia and warmth to the heart both by its taste and its looks.

Silky-smooth sweet egg custard is encased within a savoury, buttery pastry crust (unlike its flaky puff pastry cousins). That's sweet meeting savoury in a perfect place.
